MADISON, Wis. - The term student-athlete isn’t just lip service for the Edgewood College men’s and women’s soccer teams. Both squads received the 2009 College Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Edgewood College is one of 99 schools in the nation (all NCAA divisions and NAIA) to have both their men’s and women’s teams honored.

MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College women’s soccer team placed three players on the All-Northern Athletics Conference first team and another on the second team. Tammi Hagensick, Ilana Bar-av, and Emily Daniels earned first team honors while Abby Moder was voted second team and named to the All-Freshman Squad. Jessica Thompson received honorable mention and Kelsey Beck was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women’s soccer team had a chance to avenge their loss to MSOE earlier this season in Milwaukee as they hosted the Raiders in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament’s first round. With neither team scoring in regulation or overtime, the game was decided on penalty kicks with MSOE converting three times to Edgewood College’s one.
