As part of the Edgewood College educational community, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is guided by the traditions of the Sinsinawa Dominicans and the mission of Edgewood College. Participating together on NCAA Division III teams, coaches and student-athletes strive to foster healthy competition, cooperation, and an understanding of every individual’s value, while maintaining a commitment to academic and athletic excellence. It is through this participation that we promote campus spirit and develop an awareness of our responsibility to be part of a greater community – seeking truth, compassion, justice and partnership.

Goals of the Intercollegiate Athletic Program at Edgewood College
- To offer another learning experience for the student-athlete by providing quality, organized and healthy competition with other institutions of higher education;
- To assist in reaching enrollment goals by recruiting academically capable students who also have a desire to participate in organized collegiate athletic programs;
- To assist in public relations efforts by projecting a positive image of the College and of student-athletes;
- To provide opportunities for creating a "campus spirit".
