MADISON, Wis. – For most of the Edgewood College men’s track team, last weekend’s 2009 Wisconsin Twilight Invitational at the Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Complex in Madison on May 8-9 was the last race of the season and most ran to solid finishes to conclude the year. Dan Oryall was the highest placing Eagle with a seventh place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.

Oryall finished second among Northern Athletics Conference athletes with a time of 11:26.17. Sprinter Tiyawn Walker turned in a pair of 16th place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dashes while Nathan Campbell crossed the finishing tape in the 3,000 meter run, coming in 19th place with a time of 10:08.86.

On the heels of becoming Edgewood College’s first individual track champion with a win in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the NAC Championships last week, Connor Boushon ran to a 14th place tally in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:06.25. He was second among NAC athletes, finishing behind Dominic Maio of MSOE.

Next week, the Eagles will send Boushon and Andrew Garvey to the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. for a last chance meet in hopes of possibly qualifying for the NCAA National Meet.
