Eagle season finale with UW-Stevens Point canceled

MADISON, Wis. - Edgewood College's 2008 baseball season has come to a close as the Eagles' final game against UW-Stevens Point has been canceled. The Pointers opted to cancel the game in order to prepare for the WIAC tournament after they conclude their conference season today.

Eagles split with Benedictine in conference finale

 | | Cory McCullick | VERONA, Wis. - Playing spoiler isn’t as much fun as playing contender, but since spoiler is all the Edgewood College baseball team had, they did their best to make it hard on Benedictine University in their effort to clinch the NAC regular season crown. Edgewood College made Benedictine sweat it out until the final game of the conference schedule, winning game one 17-3, before falling 14-4 in the second game.

Split with Lakeland bumps Eagles from postseason

 | | Ryan Siebert | VERONA, Wis. – The weekend challenge was a tall order. Edgewood College had to win four times or miss the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Lakeland College put together a four-run ninth inning rally is game one of Saturday’s doubleheader and effectively ended the Eagles’ playoff hopes 8-7. Edgewood College rebounded for a 4-1 victory in the second game.
