Stephens, Kurt land all-conference softball honors

 | | Jennifer Stephens | MADISON, Wis. -- Senior shortstop Jennifer Stephens and junior first baseman Jamie Kurt were each named first team All-Northern Athletics Conference for their performances this season. Stephens led the Eagles with a .496 batting average and 11 stolen bases while Kurt finished second in the conference with nine home runs.

Eagles bow out in second day of NAC Tournament

 | | Jennifer Stephens | LISLE, Ill. – After losing their opening round game on Thursday the Eagles rebounded with a win over Lakeland 13-1 in five innings before getting eliminated 9-5 by Benedictine. After playing the opening round on Thursday in Aurora the tournament was moved to Lisle, Ill. home of Benedictine University due to Aurora’s field being unplayable.

NAC Softball Tournament shifts dates and site

AURORA, Ill. - With rain falling throughout the northern half of Illinois, the Northern Athletics Conference Softball Tournament has been postponed for a day. Friday's schedule of five games will now be played on Saturday, with a sixth game being added. In addition, Saturday's games will be moved from Jericho Park in Aurora to Benedictine University's Sports Complex in Lisle which has the advantage of a tarp covering the field.

Things not rosy in tournament opener

 | | Jennifer Stephens | AURORA, Ill. – Marian pitcher Kristen Rose seems to have the Eagles figured out. Just over one week after pitching a one-hitter against Edgewood College the pitcher was back in the circle doing it again, allowing just three Eagle hits in the Sabres 7-1 win in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament opener for both teams. Shortstop Jennifer Stephens had two of the Eagles three hits, scoring the team’s lone run.
